Whether a volunteer is helping at one of our cleanups or behind the scenes, they are helping the organization make a difference in the community. For students interested in journalism or communications. This opportunity is for individuals passionate about their community and the great things happening in town. Intern will be responsible for adding new content on, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Along with posting updates from the organization, the Communications Intern will work with our partners to share news stories from their organization on our site.

  • Experience in blogging or creative writing a plus
  • Intern may complete assignments remotely
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends

Events Coordinator

An Events Coordinator will oversee the planning and execution of all events held by the organization. The type of events the intern will be responsible for are: community cleanups, company cleanups, town hall/forums, and fundraisers.

The Norristown Project is an organization formed under our lead agency Montgomery County OIC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All internship positions posted are unpaid, however, community service hours and college credits can be awarded to those who qualify. Please consult with your college/university on whether you can earn credits during your internship.
